After successful campaigns by the Bagshot Society
to save the library and the post office, and a vigorous effort to save
the local branch of the Nationwide, a group of members thought it a
good idea to produce a long term village plan. In November 2008 a Bagshot Village Plan Steering Group formed and letters sent out to local residents for further support. This resulted in a very solid committee of 13 people including a fair smattering of local councillors, business people, community leaders, as well as quite a few ordinary folks. The committee surveyed local opinion and had various consultations which ended with the production of a report : the Bagshot Village Plan. You can download it here (pdf). |
